This process involves the application of a high-velocity spray of powdered material, resulting in a dense and durable coating that enhances the wear resistance and lifespan of your components.

Chroming Procedures

Assessment

Upon receiving the rod, we assess it for damages, marks, and chrome thickness. An inspection report is filled out, and the rod is quoted based on customer requirements.

Pre-Polishing and Jigging

The rod is pre-polished and sent for jigging, where it is cleaned with benzene to remove any remaining paint, oil, or residue.

Size Checking and Taping

The rod size is checked, and aluminum tape is used to close off areas not to be chromed (such as clevis, threads, and possible journals).

Jigging and Cleaning

The rod is jigged using clamps, bolts, and nuts, then cleaned with whitening powder. The size is checked once again before plating.

Plating

The rod is placed into the tank using copper bars and plated forward or reverse for the required duration according to size. The rod size is constantly monitored at intervals to ensure precision.
